Welcome to the official home of Subluminal.art, we are a fine arts studio and workshop located in Los Angeles, CA.
Our work focuses on light itself as a medium of artistic expression. Our quasi scientific exploration involves the channeling of light into our sculptures and installations, the bend and filtering revealing the spectrum that contains all colors and things. We draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and a belief that light has transformative powers of both a personal and cultural level, light is the source and should be venerated accordingly.
Our sculptures, bend, filter, and focus light using a variety of different materials, techniques and technologies. We are developing an STEM/Arts based workshop where we teach people to make their own light sculptures. We also producers of Sun Gems which are hanging solar garden crystals available for sale on our store.
